About Rwanda Girls Initiative and GGAST The Rwanda Girls Initiative (RGI) founded GGAST with the aim of giving high-standard teaching in STEM subjects to the most promising girls in Rwanda.

Available Position: Math Teacher for Senior 5 (Grade 11) Location: Gashora, Bugesera District, Rwanda Position Type: Full-time Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree Application Deadline: 30 November 2025 The school is on the lookout for a Senior 5 Mathematics Teacher who is capable of providing excellent instruction, and mentoring students in the understanding of the advanced mathematical concepts and approaches.

Role and Responsibilities The appointee will be pivotal in influencing the academic trajectory and the leadership character building of Senior 5 students. The main duties are as follows:
  1. Educating Mathematics to the senior students applying contemporary, learner-centered teaching approaches.
  2. Creating and conducting interesting and demanding lesson plans which are in line with the Rwandan Curriculum (CBC) as well as the international standards. Conducting regular assessments of students' performances by means of assignments, tests, and projects, and giving them feedback that helps them improve.
  3. Giving students support through the national examination preparations, university entrance readiness, and STEM-related career paths.
  4. Providing mentorship to the students in the areas of academic, personal, and leadership development which in turn helps them to be confident and disciplined.
    Keeping accurate records of student performance and communicating regularly with the school management and parents when needed. Being a very active participant in all staff meetings, professional development workshops, and co-curricular activities. Being a role model of integrity, teamwork, professionalism, and respect, thus contributing to the overall learning culture of GGAST by your actions.
