OFFICIAL JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Gicumbi District is excited to
announce publicly the various job openings available in the administrative and
technical departments of the local government. This recruitment is a part of
the District's initiative to deliver better public services, increase its
institutional capacity, and be in line with the National Development Goals of
Rwanda.
The District of Gicumbi as a
local government authority is at the core of implementing government policies,
coordinating development programs, and delivering services to citizens in an
efficient, transparent, and inclusive manner. To achieve these objectives at a
higher level, the District is calling for qualified, motivated, and diligent
professionals to fill the vacancies mentioned in this announcement.
The District is making a loud

OPEN JOB VACANCIES
Gicumbi District is looking forwards to recruiting new
employees for the following job positions:
1. IT/Management Information Systems (MIS) Officer
Job Level: 5.II | Number of Positions: 1
The IT/MIS Officer will take a
lead role in managing the information systems and facilitating the use of
digital technologies in district services. His/her job is essential in the
District to improve data management, communication, and operational efficiency.
The candidate attaining this post will be the one ensuring
that IT systems work smoothly, giving support to the staff in the use of
technology, and being a part of the public service delivery modernization drive.
2. Archivist
Job Level: 7.II | Number of Positions: 1
The Archivist is the person who
will be responsible for the systematic organization, safety, and management of
the physical and electronic records of the District. The Archivist keeps records
in a way that they are easily accessible, and at the same time, he/she ensures
their security as per legal and administrative standards.
Besides, the position is a great source for the
implementation of transparency, accountability, and institutional memory in
Gicumbi District.
3. Agriculture and Natural Resources Officer
Job Level: 6.II | Number of Positions: 1
He/she is the one to lead food production innovation and
nudge the locals to the rational usage of natural resources in the district. To
name a few, his/her duties are to help the farmers, coordinate agricultural
programs, and participate in the food security and environmental protection
projects.
His/her contribution to this topic is very invaluable as it
is one of the ways to not only empower people economically but also to raise

4. Business Development and Employment Promotion Officer
Job Level: 6.II | Number of Positions: 1
The Business Development and Employment Promotion Officer
will be tasked with activities that lead to entrepreneurship, local and foreign
investment, and job creation in Gicumbi District. In brief, these kinds of jobs
entail working closely with small and medium enterprises, youth groups, and
women-led initiatives.
Moreover, the Business
Development and Employment Promotion Officer can play a role in employment
programs that are designed to bring down unemployment rates and at the same
time boost the real sector of the economy in an inclusive way.
5. Forest Extensionists
Job Level: 9.II | Number of Positions: 4
Forest Extensionists will be
implementing environmental and forestry programs at the grassroots level. They
will also get involved in the promotion of environmental conservation such as
afforestation, sustainable forest use, and environmental conservation among
people in communities.
The jobs, therefore, form an important part of the struggle
against climate change, protection of biodiversity, and the sustainable use of
forest resources.
6. Lych-House Management Officer
Job Level: 7.III | Number of Positions: 1
The Lych-House Management Officer aims at managing and
maintaining community or administrative facilities that are under the supervision
of the District. The tasks would also involve the most proper use of
infrastructures besides giving the necessary support to the provision of
services that are at the grassroots level.
7. Social Workers – Social Services
Job Level: 8.II | Number of Positions: 2
These Social Workers will be involved in the delivery and
coordination of different social services, especially those that are targeted
at the most vulnerable groups such as children, persons with disabilities, the
elderly, and disadvantaged families.
They provide their energy basis to the promotion of social
protection, inclusion, and community well-being throughout the District.
8. Accountants (A1 / A0)
Job Level: 7.II | Number of Positions: 2
The Accountants are the personnel that will handle and keep
track of all the financial transactions, prepare financial statements, and
ensure that there is a proper use of public funds in line with the national financial
regulations and laws.
This role is a kind of support to financial accountability,
transparency, and effective budgeting that takes place in the District.
9. Data Managers (A1 / A0)
Job Level: 7.II | Number of Positions: 8
Data managers play a crucial role in data collection, analysis, and management for
planning, monitoring, and decision-making purposes. Data that is accurate and
reliable is a prerequisite for evaluating the development programs and
improving service delivery.
These tasks are extremely
important for local governments that want to be evidence-based.
10. Social Workers (A2 Level)
Job Level: 9.II | Number of Positions: 4
Social workers at A2 level engage
intensively with local communities to uncover social issues, assist vulnerable
families, and facilitate access to government programs and social protection
services.
Their mission is directly related to enhancing the standard
of living and the promotion of human dignity for all citizens through their
hard work.
